New Girl star Zoey Deschanel went to the shelter to adopt a dog, and fell in love with a mixed breed named Dot. When she found out Dot had a sister, Zelda, she left with both dogs.

All of singer Ariana Grande’s dogs have famous names, including her newest addition Sirius Black, named for the Harry Potter character.
7. Jennifer Lawrence
J. Law originally named her cat Cleo, but changed it to Chaz Bono—aka, Sonny and Cher’s son.

Nick Jonas named his golden retriever after his all-time favorite artist, Elvis.

It made for a super awkward interview when Oprah asked rapper 50 Cent why he named his dog after her.
